KLEE was launched on XT.COM on September 26, 2021. On April 6, 2022, the platform received the project team’s request to change the contract. Afterwards, XT.COM timely conducted relevant matters with the project team according to the platform’s contract changing process. During which the KLEE project team failed to communicate in accordance with the platform’s contract changing rules and restricted the on-chain transfer function without notifying XT.COM in advance, resulting in XT.COM users unable to transfer KLEE tokens normally. In order to protect the rights and interests of users, XT.COM has now closed the deposit and withdrawal function of KLEE.
The following is the course of the event:
1.On April 6, 2022, the KLEE project party contacted the XT.COM platform and asked to change the contract address. After XT.COM repeatedly communicated with it and asked it to provide more details about the changing contract and proposed the terms of the changing contract, the KLEE project party has not responded clearly.
2.On April 24, 2022, the KLEE project party notified the XT.COM platform that the old KLEE VI contract trading will be stopped at 20:00 on April 24 (UTC), the changing of contracts will be started at 21:00 on April 24 (UTC), and V2 new contract trading will be opened at 20:00 on April 30 (UTC). The KLEE project team stated that the exchange can only be carried out if the snapshot is taken to the address with a holding position. Even if the users withdraw to their own wallet address, the new currency cannot be exchanged because the snapshot time has passed. XT.COM then communicated with the KLEE project party again about the changing of the contract, but it still ignored and refused to communicate about it.
3.On May 3, 2022, the KLEE project party contacted and informed XT.COM that users used the contract loophole to buy KLEE at a low price on XT.COM, exchanged V1 tokens for V2 tokens, and then immediately sold them through Uniswap , gained more than 8 ETH in trading. In this case, the KLEE project team shifted the blame to XT.COM and demanded that XT.COM bear its losses.
4.On May 5, 2022, despite XT.COM's many active attempts to communicate, the KLEE project party still refused to cooperate and shirked its responsibility, and made it clear that it refused to pay the contract changing fee.
The KLEE project party uses its centralized privileges over contracts to interfere with the fair trading market and arbitrarily restrict users’ on-chain transfers, and takes negative attitude and ignored positive communication with XT.COM platform. XT.COM condemns such behavior, and at the same time, in order to protect the rights and interests of platform users, closed the KLEE deposit and withdrawal function.
