What is Scan to Pay?
Scan to Pay is a crypto payment feature launched by XT, designed to help users easily apply digital assets to everyday spending scenarios.
Users can directly use USDT in their Spot account to scan a merchant’s payment QR code and complete the payment – without needing to sell digital assets in advance or exchange into local fiat currency.
During payment, the system automatically calculates the amount of USDT required based on the order amount. After the user confirms the payment, the corresponding USDT is deducted from the Spot account, and a third‑party payment service provider completes the settlement in local fiat currency.
Whether it’s dining, shopping, or paying for daily services, Scan to Pay enables fast transactions and helps digital assets truly integrate into everyday payment scenarios.
Feature Benefits
- Pay with USDT – No need to sell crypto or exchange into fiat beforehand; just have sufficient USDT in your Spot account to pay directly.
- Supports local QR payments – Scan local merchant QR codes in supported countries/regions, covering dining, shopping, retail, lifestyle services, and more.
- Automatic payment conversion – The system calculates the USDT amount to deduct based on the order amount and real‑time exchange rate; confirm and pay with one tap.
- Real‑time payment history – After payment, view your order and transaction records via XT Pay or the Spot account history.
