Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Why should I bind a phone number to my XT account?
Binding your phone number enhances account security by enabling SMS verification for logins, withdrawals, and security modifications.
2. Can I change or remove my phone number later?
Yes. You can update or unbind your phone number from the [Security Center], provided you complete the required security verification and your account still meets the minimum security requirements.
3. Can I use a phone number that was previously linked to another XT account?
Yes. You can use a phone number that was previously linked to another XT account, as long as it is no longer bound to any existing account. A phone number cannot be linked to multiple XT accounts at the same time.
4. Why did I receive a “Verification Code Error”?
This error can occur if you take longer than 5 minutes to enter the verification code, causing it to expire. It can also happen if the code entered is incorrect. Please request a new code and enter it promptly and accurately.
5. What does “The current operation has timed out. Please restart your process.” mean?
This means the phone number binding process was not completed within the required time, causing the session to expire. To protect your account security, you will need to restart the phone number binding process from the beginning.
6. Why am I not receiving the verification code?
For email verification codes, delays may be caused by spam filters, network issues, or multiple requests made in a short time. Please check your spam or junk folder, and try again after a few minutes. For SMS verification codes, delays typically result from network problems, weak signals, or carrier processing times. Switching to mobile data, moving to an area with better reception, or restarting your device may help. If the issue persists, please contact XT support for assistance.
