This guide explains how to change the email address linked to your XT account via the mobile app. Follow these steps if you need to update your registered email address.
Before you start
If you still have access to your current email address, you can use the Change Email Address option to update the email linked to your XT account. Verification codes will be sent to your existing email address during the process.
However, if you no longer have access to your current email address, you will not be able to change it through this process, as verification via the existing email is required. In this case, please follow the Email Reset process, which involves additional security verification to protect your account.

2. Do I need access to my current email address to change it?
Yes. Changing your email address requires verification using your current email address and other enabled security methods.
3. What should I do if I no longer have access to my current email address?
If you cannot access your current email address, you will need to use the email reset process, which involves additional security verification to safeguard your account.
4. Why are withdrawals and P2P trading disabled after I change my email address?
To protect your assets, withdrawals and P2P trading are temporarily disabled for 24 hours after your email address is changed. This restriction will lift automatically after the period ends.

The change takes effect immediately after confirmation. All future notifications will be sent to your new email address.
6. Will I be logged out after changing my email address?
Yes. After the email address is successfully changed, you will be redirected to the login page and must log in again using your new email address and password.
7. Can I use an email address that was previously linked to another XT account?
Yes, as long as the email address is no longer linked to any existing XT account. An email address cannot be used by multiple XT accounts at the same time.
8. Why did I receive a “Verification Code Error”?
This error can occur if you take longer than 5 minutes to enter the verification code, causing it to expire. It can also happen if the code entered is incorrect. Please request a new code and enter it promptly and accurately.
9. What does “The current operation has timed out. Please restart your process.” mean?
This means the email change process was not completed within the required timeframe, causing the session to expire. To protect your account, you need to restart the email change process from the beginning.
10. Why am I not receiving the verification code?
For email verification codes, delays may be caused by spam filters, network issues, or multiple requests made in a short time. Please check your spam or junk folder, and try again after a few minutes. For SMS verification codes, delays typically result from network problems, weak signals, or carrier processing times. Switching to mobile data, moving to an area with better reception, or restarting your device may help. If the issue persists, please contact XT support for assistance.
